General Summary:

General Summary

This is the entry level of a two-level career path. Work is performed under general supervision according to established guidelines. This position provides support for internal and external customers (Underwriting, Billing, Service Associate, Compliance, and others) by completing rate increases and quote proposal requests as it relates to general plan changes as well as rate increases. The incumbent will also be responsible for basic landing pages and info site builds.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and customize basic marketing materials such as landing pages, info sites, rate sheets and outlines of coverage for plan designs with varying complexity.

  • Ability to inspect and review info. sites for accuracy and functionality before being published.

  • Responsible for rating & implementing the rate increase and ad hoc rate requests in all applicable systems .

  • Review plan designs and executes corrected plan design rates, and provides back-up support for rating issues

  • Manage multiple cases simultaneously in various stages of completion

  • Manage and negotiate timelines with internal partners to ensure enrollment marketing and communication plans meet customer expectations

  • Maintain data integrity to ensure quality of information and tracking for organizational reporting

  • Support Unum Enrollment initiatives or other assignments as needed

  • Work effectively and collaboratively with internal partners to ensure service, quality and customer needs are met or exceeded.

  • Ensure contracts/certificates are within compliance with state and federal legislation and established risk and administrative rules.

  • Execute on Group Long Term Care (GLTC) re-pricing initiative

  • Manage daily activity to reflect case assignment and accurate status of case activity

  • Identify business trends and refer as appropriate for further action.

  • Required to analyze various daily, weekly and monthly reports and data to take appropriate action.

  • Actively seeks opportunities to implement changes which improve workflow, accuracy reduce operating costs, timeliness, productivity and customer satisfaction.

  • Contribute to team and individual accountabilities in order to meet service and quality expectations.

  • Responsible for the servicing of customer and internal partner requests to include outbound calls, email inquiries, service requests and general mail.

  • Provide ongoing GLTC Customer, Product and regulatory support.

  • Educate and support all impacted internal parties managing the rate increase.

  • Responsible for making updates to marketing materials when policy changes occur

  • Generate proposed rates for Policy Holders and Brokers to help them navigate and determine action on rate increases.

  • Complete requests for paper kits to be mailed

  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent, relevant business experience preferred.

The base salary range for applicants for this position is listed below. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description, actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience.

$36,000.00-$64,800.00

Additionally, Unum offers a portfolio of benefits and rewards that are competitive and comprehensive including healthcare benefits (health, vision, dental), insurance benefits (short & long-term disability), performance-based incentive plans, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match up to 5% and an additional 4.5% contribution whether you contribute to the plan or not. All benefits are subject to the terms and conditions of individual Plans.
